365.365: May 24, 2011 I began my journey to complete this project and now 365 days later, here I am. I honestly don’t even know where to begin as I write this last description. So, I’ll start with the most important thing: this project has been such an amazing, eye-opening experience. I not only gained knowledge about photography, but my surroundings, and even myself.

I need to take the time, to thank each and every one of you who have followed my project. Whether you followed daily, weekly, or monthly: thank you. Yes, there were plenty of days where I felt low on inspiration and completely unmotivated. You beautiful people are what kept me going. The one person I need to individually thank, is my mother. Living with me through this project must have been challenging at some points, but she knew this project meant so much to me, so it did to her as well. She was one of my number one fans rooting me on the entire year. Her excitement to see my photos each day made this project even better, knowing my photos made her smile.

As I scroll through my photostream tonight, I feel this indescribable sensation. I’m happy, and I’m sad. I’ve documented one whole year of my life through words and photos. It’s so fascinating, I remember almost every single day vividly, because of these photos. Although some of these memories, moods, and feelings weren’t all good ones, it’s such a great way to reflect on this small chapter of my life.

My love for nature has grown immensely because of this project. I never recognized how much I loved the outdoors until I began this project. Now, you can’t keep me inside! My relationship with nature is so strong now, and I’m so happy with that. I’ve learned so much about the environment, and have been to so many new places.

I suppose I could ramble on for hours. But, I just want you all to know that this has been such an amazing experience. I love each and every one of you who got me through this.

For this last photo, I decided to take one photo representing one of the numbers “365” in the three different environments. I took the first photo in Long Beach, where I am holding three daises. The second photo was taken in a wooded area, with 6 cameras. Finally, the last photo was taken in Manhattan, with just a simple hand representation of the number 5.

This won’t be the end of my photostream on Flickr, I have every intention on continuing to post my photos here and keeping up with everybody’s photostreams.

Thank you all. I’m thrilled I was able to share this wonderful, life-changing experience with each and every one of you.

Day 363/365: I’m so close to end, a lot has happened in the past year, but I feel like everything has gone by so quickly.

I seriously have the best pen-pals…

I can’t wait to go home, finish cleaning, and write letters.
